The explanation of why the artist perceives Picasso to be misogynistic.

I wasn’t paying much attention when I walked into this exhibit. I thought I would see some of Picasso’s work and learn something about cubism. Rather, the exhibit was a critique of Picasso, mostly through the eyes of Hannah Gadsby, asserting that he was a misogynist who purported to want to see things from all perspectives, but did not attempt to view things from a female/femme point of view.

I found the exhibit and the points made to be interesting, and a lively debate among friends later about whether the perspective was fair was awesome. I wish I would have taped it, because I can’t do it justice. Suffice it to say opinions differed.

Here are some pieces of the exhibit that present one point of view. Look for Hannah Gadsby’s stand-up on the topic.
