When I was in Sri Lanka I found a beautiful piece of material- bright orange and fuchsia lines on a backdrop of black. I knew I wanted to make it into a dress.
While in Chicago I found a seamstress- right across the street! I provided ideas and the material and Amanda made this fun dress for me!
It is my international dancing dress: material from Sri Lanka, seamstress born in Colombia, created and debuted in the USA!
Here are other family members who also work in the shop, offered suggestions and cheered me on!!
