ChicaGO!

I have been vacationing in Chicago for two months! What a great city.

I have visited Chicago many times since my first visit here in 1990. I now have an opinion that on their first day, a visitor should do an architectural boat tour. There are a bunch of different companies (I don’t have a particular recommendation); tours usually last for 60-90 minutes. I have gotten my tickets on-line in advance to allow some price comparisons, but adult tickets are around $40. The tours show some cool buildings, give some Chicago history and trivia, and provide humor!

Word of caution: if you are using your phone’s GPS to get to the boat it is a little tricky because the GPS doesn’t tell you to go down stairs. There are a few levels at the entryway- main level, a lower level for trucks and deliveries (created in the 60s to reduce congestion) and an even lower level where the water is.

Here are some pics from the tour I took with my bonus mom Saralyn when she visited in June.
