Community kitchen in Old Delhi

In the basement of a sikh temple in Delhi was a community kitchen that feeds 20,000 people. It is amazing. The picture above shows people eating. The pictures below are prep and clean up. As a sometimes-volunteer and former board member at Loaves and Fishes, this warmed my heart so much.

  2. What a wonderful service to the community! There are Sikh community kitchens in the US too – Albany and Endicott for starters. I’m so glad that you had a chance to visit one.
