Taiwan!
I arrived in Taiwan on March 1. My sister-in-law, Ya-Huei Chen, was born and raised here. She and my brother Johne are spending a few months visiting. I am excited to see the sights, but I am even more excited yo meet Ya-Huei’s relatives.

Boat Quay
I never got to go on a “Bum Boat” (and I suspect I am spelling it wrong) but we went to Boat Quay one night, had a lovely dinner at a Turkish restaurant and watched them! Plus some great night scenes of the city.

Sentosa Island
We took gondolas over to an island best described as a playground for the rich. It is dedicated to fancy hotels, a Universal Studio, an amusement park, and swimming with dolphins. New Dehli

Third Stop: Doha, Qatar February 1 – 8
When I decided to visit countries in addition to Taiwan, I pulled up a map of Asia. My knowledge of geography is not great! I found Qatar right next to Saudi Arabia, but dwarfed by the size. I learned that Qatar has about 2.6 million people, but only about 12 percent of them are…

NYC Day 3 January 30
On Monday I headed to Brooklyn Heights, home to the amazing Jon and Elizabeth Dabney Hochman. Jon was one of the first people I met in law school, we were in the same small section and we were part of a four-person study group. He and Elizabeth had started dating about a year earlier when…
