My joke when I started my trip was that when I get back to NY I will binge on pizza because I will be jonesing for it after two months of no dairy. I had learned that for many people in Asia, lactose intolerance prevents consumption of dairy.
Surprise! I have had pizza in India and Singapore, and Johne tells me there is good pizza in Taiwan, too! And, ice cream is omnipresent.
How naive, and a bit prejudiced, of me to think international cities wouldn’t have international food? 🙄
