Singapore is an ethnically diverse city/island/nation. The most common ethnic group among Singaporeans is Chinese, so Chinatown thrives, but is not the exclusive place where folks with Chinese heritage live.
Other common ethnicities for Singaporeans are Malay (from Malaysia) and Indian. There are also many expats from England, Australia, the US and other places.
