Signs of home- Tibetan Monks

In the airport in Bengalar

I don’t love that the US contribution to international cuisine tends to be fast food! The reminder of Ithaca I do love seeing are Tibetan Monks. I have run into Tibetan monks in every airport so far. (I didn’t take pics bc it feels too disrespectful.). I love that my hometown has a temple and that the Dali Lama has visited. It makes the big world feel small and connected.

  1. The Tibetan monks are everywhere, yes – and generally cheerful and outgoing rather than somber or self-absorbed. I hope you have a chance to strike up a conversation with a few of them (including the Tibetan nuns) and reflect back some of the positive energy that they seem to radiate. Thanks for the wonderful pictures from your tours!

    1. Yes, I spoke with several! I did not see any nuns.
